Banbridge Old Vehicle Club Sprucefield Classic Car Display
An overcast afternoon with persistent showers didn’t deter people from flocking to Sprucefield on Sunday 21st April 2013 to see the wide range of cars on display at the Banbridge Old Vehicle Club Sprucefield Classic Car Display. There was something to suit all tastes from Austins to Zephyrs – well nearly all tastes as there weren’t enough Italian classics for my liking. Whilst the Italian showing was lacking in quantity it certainly made up for it in quality and one of the stars of the show was Italian Motor Club member Brian’s Fiat 850 Coupe – it may be small in size but it is a car that is big in personality and it drew many admiring glances throughout the afternoon.
Other Italian cars on display were a Fiat 126, Alfa Romeo Guilia 2000 GT Veloce, Ferrari California and a Ferrari 360 Spider which drove around the display area and then disappeared – it sounded glorious as it headed up the carriageway towards Hillsborough.
Here’s hoping we manage to attract a few more Italian cars to our show on 25th May – less than 4 weeks to go now so keep spreading the word and encourage a good turnout from all owners of Italian cars and motorbikes.
