And the winner is…….Lucky Lorcan!!
Angelo’s Italian  restaurant was the venue for the NIIMC’s annual dinner on Friday 22nd November. Everyone was looking forward to good company , fine food and for those who weren’t driving a glass of Italian wine (or maybe two!!) We weren’t to be disappointed. On arrival everyone was treated to a glass of prosecco before taking their seats for a delicious 3 course meal. We were  delighted to welcome as our guests David Hanna and Drew McVeigh  from Donnelly Group and Mervyn Shannon and colleagues from Shannon’s jewellers as a small but genuine gesture of our appreciation for their support for the club throughout the year (Stephen Lowry from Charles Hurst Specialist Car Division was also invited but was unfortunately unable to attend).

In total nearly 50 people attended the dinner and with plenty of raffle prizes up for grabs there was no shortage of raffle tickets sold as members were keen to be in with a chance of winning a fine bottle of Alfa Romeo wine, a  range of car cleaning products and accessories or a voucher for a meal for two in Angelo’s courtesy of owner Richard Graham.  The atmosphere throughout the evening was fantastic and it turned out to be a very enjoyable and memorable evening.

The person who enjoyed himself the most was without doubt  Lorcan Flanagan who scooped the much coveted prize of the TAG Heuer Carrera watch in our prize draw – he will forever now be known as Lucky Lorcan and as the photograph shows he could hardly contain his excitement as he was presented with the watch by Mervyn Shannon, who through his skilful negotiation had  persuaded TAG Heuer to donate the watch to our club as a special prize in our tenth anniversary year.

Many congratulations to Lorcan from all his envious friends – not only does he drive a stylish Alfa Romeo but he now has the perfect stylish  accessory to go with it.

Thanks to everyone for their support, not only in attending the dinner but also at other events throughout the year. 2013 has been a successful year for the club and with a bit of hard work and commitment we’ll do our best on build on this in 2014.
